Central Electric Round Up Grant

Central Electric Cooperative presented Operation Round-Up grants to the City of Kimball during the cooperative’s Brule County district meeting in Pukwana.

Operation Round-Up is powered by Central Electric members who voluntarily round up their monthly electric bill to the next dollar. The extra cents are deposited into a separate fund and used to support community-focused projects in the area.

The City of Kimball was awarded a $1,000 grant in May 2024 for concession stand improvements and another $1,000 in May 2025 for a new fence at the youth baseball and T-ball field. Kimball Mayor Donnie Hamiel attended the meeting to accept the grants on behalf of the city.
